The Alert Fire Hall Will be Closing for a Total Remodel Starting in January 2018

Attention Dancers and Guests:
The Alert Fire Hall, 3118 N. George Street Emigsville, PA will be closing their doors to the public in January of 2018. The reason for the closing is to totally remodel the Fire Hall top to bottom. The dance floor will be covered and protected while the remodel is underway.

Our monthly dances will be held the third Sunday of the month from 3:00 pm until 6:30 PM. at the York Jewish Community Center (JCC) 2000 Hollywood Drive York, Pa. until the renovation is complete.

The goal is to do the remodel in stages. Phase one will consist of a total kitchen and bathrooms renovation. This includes new flooring, plumbing, cabinets, lighting and a new floor layout. Storage areas will also be remodeled.
Phase two will consist of a total remodel of the Ballroom. The dance floor will be refinished. The stage will be updated and the Bingo signs will be removed. A drop- down screen will be installed on all four walls to project the Bingo numbers when in use. A state of the art sound system will be installed. The sound system can be operated from a cell phone, laptop or any smart device by anyone that has been given the access code. A specialized sound company will insure our dance music is pleasant and not bouncing off the walls. A new ceiling and new lighting will be installed.
The Alert Fire Hall has one of the very few wooden dance floors in existence today and they want to preserve this wonderful treasure for the Dance community for years to come - it will be refinished!
We realize this is an inconvenience to you, but hang in there - We will have a beautiful place to dance for many years to come.
